Comparison of Community Characteristics of Zooplankton Sampled by Two Mesh Nets in the Pearl River Estuary in Summer

摘要: 【目的】研究珠江口海域两种不同浮游生物网网采浮游动物群落的差异,探讨在近岸及河口进行浮游动物调查时的适宜网型。【方法】于2017―2020年每年8月在珠江口海域分别用浅水Ⅰ型和Ⅱ型浮游生物网(以下分别称“I型网”“II型网”)采集浮游动物样品,分析并对比两种网型网采浮游动物的种类组成、丰度、优势种、多样性指数以及群落年际变化等方面的差异。【结果】在4次调查中,Ⅰ型网采集的浮游动物平均丰度为135.7~388.4 m-3,而Ⅱ型网采集的丰度为19 097.6~24 608.2 m-3,远高于前者。两种网型均能采集到较多对方未采获的种类。相似百分比分析(SIMPER)结果显示,两种网型调查结果的最主要区别在于中小型类群,尤其是以强额孔雀哲水蚤(Parvocalanus crassirostris)为代表的中小型桡足类丰度差异,I型网漏采多数中小型桡足类。I型网调查得到的优势种信息同样严重低估中小型桡足类的优势程度。两种网型网采浮游动物的年际变化趋势不一致,Ⅱ型网采浮游动物的变化幅度较小。【结论】在近岸及河口调查研究中,Ⅰ型网和Ⅱ型网的调查结果有一定互补性,仅使用I型网难以全面真实反映调查海域的浮游动物生态状况,建议加强Ⅱ型网的使用。Abstract: 【Objective】 To study the differences of the zooplankton community characteristics sampled by two types of plankton nets, and find the suitable mesh net used in plankton survey. 【Method】The zooplankton samples were collected by two types of nets (the 505 μm mesh net and the 160 μm mesh net) in the Pearl River Estuary in August from 2017 to 2020. The species composition, abundance, diversity index and the annual changes of these characteristics of zooplankton collected by the two types of nets were analyzed and compared. 【Result】In the four surveys, the average abundance of zooplankton collected by the 160μm mesh net fluctuated between 19 097.6 m-3 and 24 608.2 m-3, much higher than that by the 505 μm mesh net, which fluctuated between 135.7 m-3 and 388.4 m-3. Both types of nets could catch several zooplankton species missed by the other one. According to the results of Similarity Percentage Analysis (SIMPER), the difference between the survey results of two nets was mainly contributed by the abundance of meso- and micro-zooplankton, especially the abundance of meso- and micro-copepods represented by Parvocalanus crassirostris. Most meso- and micro-copepods can not be caught by the 505 μm mesh net. The dominant species information obtained from the 505 μm mesh net also seriously underestimated the dominance of mesoand micro-copepods. The interannual variation trends of zooplankton collected by the two types of nets were not consistent, and the interannual variation of the zooplankton collected by the 160 μm net is smaller than that by the 505 μm net. 【Conclusion】In offshore and estuary areas, the two types of nets can complement each other; it is difficult to comprehensively reflect the ecology of zooplankton by using the 505 μm net only. It is recommended that we should strengthen the use of the 160 μm net in the investigation of zooplankton.
